Fascinated by high-quality and trendy clothes, Mrs. Roussel creates in the 80’s a shop under the name of « Cadet Roussel » for women, men and children.
Originally based in Waterloo, she will then open other shops in Namur, Liège and Wavre. In Mrs. Roussel's succession, her daughter Catherine Detry, will later on operate a return to basics.
Only based in Waterloo, the women’s shop will settle down in the Wellington gallery. Furthermore, it’s also under her impulse that « La Maison Roussel » will develop the distribution and the sale of school uniforms with, among others, the exclusivity for the following schools : Berlaymont, Servites de Marie and the Collège Saint Benoit of Maredsous.
In 2014, the revival of « La Maison Roussel » continues by the opening of a men’s shop in the Wellington gallery just accross the women’s shop .
